Everything You Need to Know – Night of Museums at the Skanzen
WHEN IS THE MUSEUM OPEN?
The museum’s programs begin at 6:00 p.m. and run until midnight.
CAN I STAY FOR THE EVENING EVENTS WITH A TICKET PURCHASED DURING THE DAY?
The evening programs require a separate wristband, so tickets purchased during the day and Skanzen passes are not valid for the evening events.
WHERE CAN I BUY A WRISTBAND?
At the Skanzen ticket offices, at the institutions of the Ferenczy Museum Center, at the Tourinform office in Szentendre, or even online at the Jegymester or jegy.hu website.
HOW MUCH DOES A WRISTBAND COST?
- Adults: 3,000 HUF
- Children (ages 6–18): 1,500 HUF
- Free admission for children under 6
Admission is free for people with disabilities and one accompanying person upon presentation of appropriate identification.
WHERE ARE THE WRISTBANDS VALID?
The Szentendre wristbands are valid for both FMC and Skanzen programs; they are not valid in Budapest, but we do accept Budapest wristbands.
HOW DO WE GET TO SKANZEN?
By car or public transportation; however, during the event, a free shuttle bus will run between bus stop 9 at the Volánbusz station in Szentendre and the Skanzen bus stop.
- From the HÉV to Skanzen: 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 PM, 9:00 PM, 10:00 PM
- From the Skanzen to the Volánbusz station: 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, 11:00 PM, 11:30 PM, 12:00 AM, 12:30 AM
WHERE EXACTLY WILL THE EVENTS TAKE PLACE?
In our Transylvania section, at the Skanzen Gallery, and in the Granary building.
WHAT’S THE EASIEST WAY TO GET TO THE VENUES?
You can walk from the main entrance, or you can even take the Skanzen train, since our trains run until midnight during the Múzéj.
WHAT FOOD OPTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT?
Throughout the evening, our guests can enjoy the Fröccsterasz, Grilludvar, and Ice Cream and Sorbet Terrace, while lovers of ethnic cuisine can look forward to Armenian, Transylvanian, Croatian, and Serbian flavors.
