Walking Ticket Weekends in March
Pre-season weekends: March 1-2, March 8-9, March 22-23, March 29-30. The entrance fee is a flat 1200 HUF for everyone. The Skanzen train will not operate on these weekends.
Before the full opening at the beginning of April, visitors can explore the Szentendre Open-Air Ethnographic Museum with a walking ticket on the weekends in March.
The houses in the Skanzen are not open yet, but visitors can freely walk and hike across the 75-hectare area belonging to the Duna-Ipoly National Park. You can discover the hidden paths of the Skanzen and experience the unique charm of the beautiful natural surroundings.
The museum invites families with children to its two playgrounds, the Ornithological Trail, and the creekside.
The safe, traffic-free walking paths, which are also accessible by bike and stroller, provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation for families with small children. For those who get hungry during their walk, the Skanzen Bakery offers freshly baked croissants, cheese scones, cocoa rolls, and many other treats. Our four-legged friends are also welcome to visit the museum, as long as we agree to keep them on a leash.
The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the walking ticket price is a flat 1,200 HUF. Parking is free over the weekend, and bikes and small carts can be rented for exploring the area.
Due to renovation work, certain areas and buildings of the museum are temporarily closed to visitors.
