The Skanzen Takes a Winter Break – Thank You for a Wonderful Season!
The Skanzen's 2026 visitor season has come to an end. From 2 November, our museum will close its doors for a few months, but work continues behind the scenes as our team prepares for the next season.
We would like to thank everyone who visited us this year! It was a pleasure to welcome individual visitors, families, day-trippers and tourists, as well as kindergarten and school groups, and everyone who joined our events, educational activities or chose the Skanzen for their special occasions.
Once again, we look back on a season full of memorable experiences, encounters and exciting programmes. We are grateful for all the kind words, feedback and constructive suggestions we have received. Your comments help us make the museum an even better place to visit year after year.
But there are still two special weekends to look forward to in November!
On 7–8 November, visitors can discover the autumn beauty of the Skanzen during our Walking Ticket Weekend. On 14–15 November, we will celebrate the end of the season with our St. Martin's Day – New Wine Festival and Goose Feast.
See you again in 2027!
In the meantime, keep an eye on our website and social media channels, as we will soon be sharing news about next season's programmes and exciting new experiences!
